Recently, my faculty got Big Thief!!!
With the lost of my tupperware at the beginning of the semester, and some other losses prior to me, there were already a lot of things missing.
Our new faculty seems to be very hungry, render it ate up everything? or just that the active thief is still being unrevealed? If there is a thief in our faculty, who will be the skillfull thief then? In fact, the thief had stole off 6 computers, 1 DSLR, one digital camera, helmet, jackets, pencil boxes etc. Wonder how it could happen in just about 6 weeks of using the new faculty.
Come to whom being most suspicous? Undeniable, the cleaners are most suspicious one as they have access to our class, and their presence in anywhere in the faculty oftenly will not raise up one's suspicious. Plus, some did claimed back their lost jackets from the cleaner. Having said that, is there any evidence pointing specifically to them? Is it proven by any statistic (seems taking statistic this semester)?
My first thought drives me to start suspect on them. By human's normal nature, this first thought lead me to think of how to trace if they are the intelligent thief, how to stop this sad event or even how the faculty managerial personnels should do to prevent this occur again and again. Unnecessary thoughts came in~
Is it fair to rank them under the suspicious group? just because their work's nature need them to access across the faculty? just because they are kind enough to return the perhaps "left over" jackets? just because their job does (may) not getting good pay to support the high rising living cost? Who knows??? Nobody knows~~~
Hence, after my second thought, I will say that it is unfair to categorize them into more suspicious group with unsupported "facts". I think it will be a heart breaking for them if they knew how we look on them. I do not want to be treated like that; hence, I shall learn not to impose unnecessary suspicion on others. Respects come in again!!!
While the culprit unrevealed, I can only say that we have to be more careful on our belongings, both valuable and non-valuable one. We need to keep an eye on others belongings as well if they are temporarily unavailable. Cares for each other, hopefully will curb this stealing.
